    3. Hi Jude, I do not have the 1782 census but do have the 1774 census. There were no Bra(y)mans in Newport then so if someone finds them in 1782 it may help you narrow down the time frame. Am interested in Bramans there, especially names that may be patterned from Newport Bramans ( David, Abby, Elizabeth)--------here is my question: > > I have hardly been to Newport for research. 3. Hey You All; I checked out the name of Braman from Newport, Rhode Island and found the following; Arnold Slocum married Februaryn9 1863 a Sarah Frances Braman, daughter of Benjamin W. and Eliza (Barber) Braman. They were living in Richmond Tp., R.I. but their children were born in Wickford and So. Kingston where Arnold and Sarah were married.Unfortunately it was not Newport. This probably will not help, but I thought anything might be possible. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Donna Potter" <uriramfan@cox.net> To: <RIGENWEB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, May 05, 2006 4:01 PM Subject: Re: [RIGENWEB] Church records for Newport in 1700's???? > Hi Jude, > I do not have the 1782 census but do have the 1774 census.
