I found a 'BENJAMIN MACKINTIRE' admitted as a freeman of GLOCESTER in 'this colony' - Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, at Newport, the 3d day of May, 1737. I have several Benjamin McIntire names in my records. 'My' Benjamin's wound up in Old Falmouth (now Portland), Maine, then No. Yarmouth, ME, then New Gloucester, ME. I have not made connections of my McIntires with the Micum or Philip McIntires - yettt! I am looking to find any more detail that I can on the Benjamin Mackintire of Glocester (Providence), RI in the early 1700s. Any pointers are very welcome. In roots, Cindy (McIntire) Johnson
