    3. I checked the indexes on Ancestry.com and found one John Waters in 1782 in Providence. He appears in the 1782 Census and on a tax list of the same year. In the 1790 U.S. Census, there is one John Waterhouse, resident of Providence: 0-Dwelling houses, 1-Free White Males 16+, 3-Free White Males under 16, 3-Free White Females, 0-All Other Free Persons, 0-Slaves Hope this helps!
