    2. Gloria: Check Little Compton Families Vol. 2 Under Potter name. This source breaks off at the third Ichabod Potter and where you have question marks begins another line in the Dartmouth, Wesport, MA records where Ichabod III marries Cynthia Sherman ? Macomber of Westport. No Charles in that line. Ichabod b. 1758 Little Compton. d. there 1821. The Book by Benjamin Franklin Wilbour covers mostly those living in Little Compton and doesn't follow those that moved away.

    3. Bill, I did a search of Canadian census in 1911. Anthony Conway was an inmate in the Adelaide District, Middlesex North, Ontario. Census claims he was born in Ireland. I also found an Anthony Conway in Acton, Massachusetts in 1930; the census records say he was born in Canada. He was living with his wife, Ellen - the birth date is tough to read, but she appears to be 20 years younger than him. 3. Lisa, Relative was a patient from 1897 to Jan 1902. That's the only information Little Sisters could give me. Just a line from a ledger. I have heard the arrangement to bury residents was in St Patrick's cemetery in Prov. Diocese of Prov Cemeteries office would need a date of death to look up burials--I have none. There is none to be found in the state, town, or Little Sisters. [If your relative was not a nun, chances are the little sisters would have had an arrangement to bury their residents somewhere. Someone at the Little Sisters should be able to point you in the right direction.] Jay --- RIGENWEB-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote:

    3. James - Thanks for mentioning this resource - I hadn't heard of it before. Unfortunately, I don't get to Pawtucket as often as I would like, but they have a great deal of information in their RI room. When you say your relative was in the Little Sisters of the Poor, was she a nun? If she was a nun, she could have transferred to another location the nuns were serving, and that could explain the disappearance. Have you tried contacting the Little Sisters of the Poor, or the diocese of Providence? http://www.dioceseofprovidence.org/vocations/?id=32 There is a Jeanne Jugan residential home in Pawtucket 964 Main Street PAWTUCKET, Rhode Island 02860-4896 According to a listing I found, it is under the NY province of the sisters. I found an email address for information here info@littlesistersofthepoor.org If your relative was not a nun, chances are the little sisters would have had an arrangement to bury their residents somewhere. First married an EMILY SMITH in 1901. She may have died shortly after. Alex married a 2nd time to LILLIAN CALPWELL in Jan of 1906 in Providence. He died in December 1913 from surgery according to death record. According to death record he is buried in Coventry. However after looking thru the Coventry Cemetery Book he is not there. He was buried by the BYRON READ UNDERTAKERS in Coventry. Would anyone know who may have the burial records of the BYRON READ COMPANY ? > thanks /Marie McShane > > > ==== RIGENWEB Mailing List ==== > Visit RootsWeb Genealogical Data Cooperative: http://www.rootsweb.com/ > WorldConnect Project -- Connecting the World One GEDCOM at a Time > http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/ >
