Bill: On Ancestry.com the marriage is listed as 1892 not 1872 as you have it. Hannah McIntosh Edward McCaffrey 06 Dec 1892
I know that it wasn't Bill that put that in the RI Gen as he doesn't even know how to turn the computer on so someone else must have done this as niether of us have these people in our genealogy!!!! theclown16@optonline.net wrote: Brenda: I am responding to his e-mail to the RIGENWEB site regarding Hannah McIntosh and Edward McCaffery marriages etc. I think he also sent the same request tothe RIPROVID list. in RI Re: [RIGENWEB] Fwd: EDWARD MCCAFFERY and HANNAH MCINTOSH (1853-1926) Monday, March 27, 2006 12:42 am ==== RIGENWEB Mailing List ==== Visit and/or join our Rhode Island off topic Mail list http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Rhode_Island/?yguid=86367525 Subscribe: Rhode_Island-subscribe@yahoogroups.com --------------------------------- Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Brayton Cemetery clean up challenge This message is for anyone with ancesters in Brayton Cemetery as well as anyone willing to help make an old Cemetery Beutifull. Dave Matteson <Usaf1135@aol.com> a volunter at Brayton Cemetery told me a lot needs to be done and that the cemetery has been abandoned. So I am challenge you to see how many people show up next Sunday April 2, 2006 from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. to help with the cleanup. I will provide refreshments for all those who volunteer! So much needs to be done and no special skills are needed! Things that need to be done: Garbage needs to be picked up, trees and bushes need pruning, flower pots need painting, brick wall needs to patched stones need cleaning ect. *The most important things you can bring is yourself and willingness to do some work! *Optoinal things to bring: garbage bags, pruning shears, rake, shovel,Flowers, pickup truck, ect Note From Dave*( I'd like to add just a couple of thoughts: the grass mowing is under contract to a professional landscaper, as it is just too big a job for volunteers. Also damage to stones could result from having too many mowers in and out of the plots. Please remember that many of the stones are not stable and leaning or pushing can cause them to go over and cause possible injury. Certain kinds can also break easily. Two years ago I did an audit of all the markers and made Corrections and additions that were posted to the RIGEN Cemetery Project site. Since then I have found a few more that have as yet to be posted. If anyone has any questions on a name in Brayton let me know I may be of help. Dave Matteson) If you can volunteer please email me at babyface557@yahoo.com to let me know you are going to be there, so I am sure to have enough refreshments for all. Anyone who can't or doesn't want to volunteer but would like to send in what they can afford for upkeep such as the cutting of the grass can donate to The Brayton Cemetery Fund c/o AAIA [Apponaug Area Improvement Association] Box 7892, Warwick, RI 02887. *If you do volunteer please feel free to make a donation as well. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thanks to Monica ( babyface557@yahoo.com) for her concern on Brayton Cemetery. As a volunteer there I know it would be great to have more volunteers, however I'd like to add just a couple of thoughts: the grass mowing is under contract to a professional landscaper, as it is just too big a job for volunteers. I am looking for the 14 pages of the trial transcripts entitled "Try[a]ls of Thirty-Six Persons for Piracy ...Held at Newport ...on the Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth days of July ...1723. They were printed and sold in "Boston by Samuel Kneeland, in Queen-Street, Below the Prison," I know they are on microfilm under "Early American Imprints, Series 1: Evans, 1639-1800." found in some of the larger libraries. Also the Rhode Island Historical Society may have a copy. M.E. Potter states On March 15 that"Early American Newspapers, Series I, 1690 to 1876" (are) available to members on the NEHGS website." It may be found there also. If any researcher has time to find the transcripts I think it would make a good read on this site. I would do it myself but I am disabled for a while with bad knees and am in Florida. Dave in Sand Key.
