I looked through the entire 1870 Marion county, Iowa Census and failed to find Eli and Augusta Coons Riddle and family listed. (Eli is the youngest son of Stephen and Mary Elrod Riddle) He wasn't listed in the index, but thought he might have been there anyway. He wasn't in the 1870 Lucas Co. Census either. His 5th child, Austa Caroline was born 9/22/1869 in Lucas Co. and his next child, Melinda Ellen was born 4/16/1872 in Marion Co., with the last 2 children being born in Marion Co. 1875 and 1878. There should be some record (land, tax, etc.) that places him in Marion Co., in the 1870's. The family moved to Barton Co., MO in June 1880. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tom
