Carol, >From what he told me, he had anywhere from 10-20 boxes (depends on the size of the box) of papers that Austa had saved over the years. He said he had more photos too. I was going to try and go see him on Labor Day weekend, but couldn't make it and he said he was busy at that time anyway, with his arts and crafts. I offered to send him money, so he could ship the boxes to me, but he said he hadn't gone through much of it and it would be this winter, before he and his wife had time to go through all of it. He said he'd try to copy some of the pictures and send those. Then when I came up, I could see the originals. Something just doesn't make sense to me. He's had all this stuff, for 5 years now and hasn't gone through it? I have told my sister, who lives in Joplin about all this and she may try to make contact with him, since she's closer. Otherwise, I'll call later this month and see what I can learn from him. Will keep you posted.
