Hi Bev, Good grief, where did you get your information??? I have researched this family INTENSELY since 1991, and wrote a 150 page book last year on William Riddle, his possible ancestry, and six of his sons and daughter Happy Jr. who married Henry Fisher. I have long suspected that there was a seventh son - Moses - who was the oldest. In the Draper Manuscripts there are accounts that he was also hung with his father. I have suspected that the fatehr of William Riddle was Moses Riddle, who can be found in Orange Co., NC and in 1767 on a tax list in Pittsylvania Co., VA. He is listed on the list as "Moses Ridel (Indian)." Moses Riddle died in Henry Co., VA after 1785, when he is on the tax list of Henry Co, VA. I am dying to know where you got your information!
