Hi Jeanie One of the initial problems that I had in locating my gg grandfather, Joseph Pierce Riddle was that he was listed as Joseph BIDDLE in the 1850 Census Index for Texas. Until now I thought his misspelling was unique. Now I realize that it is more common than I thought. Thanks for alerting everyone to the problem.
