Hi again, I remembered one place I have seen the BIDDLE surname mixed up with the RIDDLE surname and found it again. I have a CD-ROM "Volunteer U.S. Soldiers Military Records 1784-1811". There are 4 Riddle men on it. For William Riddle, it says the following: Riddle, William Captain Maurice's Company Virginia Militia 1807 Private REFERENCE CARD Original filed under Biddle, William Interesting! The other three Riddle's on the CD-ROM are: Riddle, Zachariah Doherty's Regiment of Militia Territory South of the Ohio 1793-1794 Private Riddle, John Brock's Co., I Reg US Levies Lieut. Col. Darke Corporal Riddle, Archibald I (Triplett's) Regiment Georgia Militia 1798 Ensign This CD-ROM is neat, because it has the actual file cards scanned in, so you can see the old original. The Territory South of the Ohio was what KY and TN was called from about 1794-1798. Mary Hill At 06:53 PM 9/17/1999 -0600, you wrote: >Hi Jeannie, > >I appreciate your research.
