Hello, I'm new to this list and am searching for any information on Janette Riddell b. in Virginia in 1742. She married in Orange Co., VA about 1766 to Preston Sheppard Gilder. Children: James, William, Frances, Lewis, Roshannah, George, Sarah, Joyce Powell, Elizabeth "Betsy"; Thomas S.; Honorius and Jeannete. Janette was daughter of William Riddell b. about 1720 and died 20 Dec 1776 Orange Co., VA married to Joyce Powell. Children: James Parker, Lewis, William, Joyce, Winnyfrit, Saley and Janette. James Riddell and Mary // were parents of William Riddell. James was born about 1700-1705 in Scotland. He died in Orange Co., VA. His wife Mary was also born in Scotland.
