Hello To All Riddles. Hope this might fill in some missing blanks for some one out there.My grandfather was Joseph Riddle,supposedly born in Mo. abt. 1860. He married my grandmother Helen Fairhurst Steward and had two children, Paul and Jewell Fairhurst, my father. My father always said that Jimmy Hoffa was his cousin, that his father and Jimmy's mother were brother and sister. I have no documentation on any of this. Grandpa Joe was murdered in front of his two young sons when they were abt. 5&7 yrs. of age. Grandma Helen had died of dropsy a few yrs's earlier, leaving my father and uncle Paul orphans. I do know that my father went to work in Detroit, Michigan in the late '30's and was big in the union activities of that time. My fathers b.d is Aug.21,1913 Cambell, Mo.Dunklin ,County. He died in Fountain Valley,Calif. Orange County.He was 53 yrs. of age at the time of my fathers birth and had been married before and had another family, one was a son by the name of Grover who at one time lived in St.Louis,Mo. My grandmother was 40 yrs. of age and also had at least one other son by the name of Ewing,I believe a daughter Edith and there is a Wayman Steward in there somewhere. Again I hope this might help someone, all I have are skips and sculls of my past. Have some info. on Dales and Fairhursts.
