Sharron, All I have on this book is "History of the Ancient Rydales, Riddell, Riddler, Ridley by Gideon Tibbett Ridlow. I found this in the genealogy library in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I live over 3 hours away from OKC. >From what I have found on the internet I have found some discrepancies in this book. In part - Thomas Riddle, b August 1859 and his first wife, Mary Igo Riddle had the following children: l. William Riddle was born in Tn and buried in Cleveland Cty, Tn, He had no descendants. 2. James Riddle was born in Tn. He married and lived near Arkadelphia, Ark. He had two sons and one daughter. 3. Joshua Riddle died near Dayton County, Tn and was buried at a Lone (or Lane) Mountain Church near Graysville, Tn. 4. Angeline Riddle was the oldest daughter. She married Barclay S. Benson. She was buried at Dayton, Rhea County, Tn. 5. Margaret Riddle was the second daughter. She married Judge John Harrington Torbett. (She was his second wife). They settled in Parks, Scott Country, Ark. They had five daughters and one son. Her husband died in the House of Representatives in Little Rock, Ark. The House recessed for his funeral. He was buried with Masonic honors in Mount Holly Cemetery, Little Rock, Ark. Margaret Riddle Torbett was buried at White Church, Parks, Ark. 6. Emeline (?) Riddle married Charles Morgan and resided at Morgan Springs near Dayton. Thea County, Tn. He had a large family. 7. Isaac Riddle moved to Missouri after the War between the states. Margaret Riddle - and Judge John Harrington Torbett had the following children: Mary Evelyn Torbett (Feb 17, 1843) was born at Harrison, Hamilton Cty, Tn. Saline Del Norte Torbett was born August 31, 1844 at Harrison, Tn and died February 10, 1864 at Parks, Ark. She is buried at White Cemetery at Parks, Ark. Josephine Torbett was born August 24, , in Tennessee and died September 6, 1857 at Rockport, Ark (now Malvern). She was buried at Rockport, Ark. Thomas Riddle Torbett was born Sept 8, 1848, and died Feb 13, 1859 at Parks, Ark. He was buried at White Church 'Cemetery, Parks, Ark. Susan Caroline Torbett was born Jan 24, 1851 and died Feb 6, 1864 at Parks, Ark. She is buried at White Church Cemetery, Parks, Ark. Alice Armanda Torbett was born Mar 27, 1856 at Parks, Ark. She married A. M. Fink of Memphis, Tn. She was living in New York at the time of her death (1905) and was buried in Georgia. She had one daughter, Ethel Jennings Fink, who died at the age of twenty (unmarried). The above is all I have on this family. Hope this helps.
