I was just in Pendleton County, West Virginia for a couple days and discovered many Ruddles and Riddles. Actually there is a Ruddle town, I found at the local library tons of information on them. It was overwhelming, as I was there with my daughter researching her father's family line, I did not take the time to get into the books there. I do know it showed a George Riddle, and lots of information. Since Pendleton County was formed in 1788 from Augusta, Hardy and Rockingham Co. of Va. there might be lots of information to find there.
