Thanks Gaylon for that. I had heard bits and pieces of that, but it was good to get the whole story. It also solves a bit of question I had in mind about Cuff's name. A couple of more questions come to mind. Any idea when Cuff's parents moved to the Bottom? Where is the Bottom in today's terms? I wonder when Kendall and Kizzie Lewis moved to the Bottom? It was my understanding that Robert Cochran came to present day Titus County in 1835 or 1836. Anyone know where I can verify this? He was supposedly heading for Stephen F.
