    3. Bev, Good to hear from you. If you are a descendant of Capt. William Riddle (Troy) you have a lot of cousins that would like to hear from you. A lot of them post daily information about that Riddle family on the Riddle Family Discussion e-mail list. You can find out how to join that list by clicking on that item posted on the "Riddle's of Stokes County NC' web page. I have taken the liberty of adding my reply to you so the those good Riddle folks will see your message. The problem is that you must join to received the e-mail messages, so join them and have fun. You ask is Capt. William Riddle related to our Tyre, John or Randolph Riddle brothers from Stokes County? The answer is we don't know but several Riddle researchers are working on that issue and hope they can find out. We do know that Moses Riddle, the presumed father of Capt. William Riddle seems to show up in many of the areas that our three Riddle brother's seem to inhabit from time to time. Mary Hill of Salt Lake, UT is our expert on Capt. Riddle and I have also added her on for a copy of this message. If Catherine Fisher was about 7 foot tall I don't think that came form her Indian genes. My guess is that came from her Riddle (Viking/Norman) ancestors who settled in Scotland about 1100 AD. I have met a lot of Riddle women and some tend to be tall and have big feet which is also found in Norse females. I guess they had to learn to take care of themselves some where along way <G> You ask which Riddle Newsletters had articles about Capt. Bill Riddle? I don't remember which newsletters had which article but I think at least three issues have an article about him. Happy hunting!
