Rodney: Through my own Riddle family (Happy Riddle Fisher)research and using the process of elimination there is no doubt our indian heritage came from the father of Capt William Riddle through his parents Moses and Mary Riddle. Moses association in Orange County NC with know Saponi Indians is probably a clue to the Tribe he originated from. Moses moved to Pittslyvania County Va, sometime in the early 1760's. In 1767 Moses Riddle told the tax collector John Wilson, that he was an Indian, also on this same tax list was William Riddle..
