Hello Riddle/Riddell Rooters, While virus scanning software is great, there is another large help out there that I have not heard anyone mention. The periodic practice of backing up ones hard disk onto disks or better yet onto a tape back-up is the best. Yes, it does cost a few dollars for the equipment, but this also protects ones system against many other types of crashes and glitches. I have an internal drive but, as I understand it, external tape drives can be shared with others. Thjis will help with cost. Just remember to do it periodically or during and after entering large amounts of data.
