Robin, yes and I find an "Childs L. Riddle" age 5 years, son of William and Emma M, in Sullivan County, MO. in the 1880, by am not able to find them in the 1890 census in MO. Maybe this is where my Texas link comes in. I was told that he was possibly buried in MO prior to 1935.
