It is now out of print though. the article is on page 205 and was submitted by Betsy OVerby Perkins. About Lt. John Brown born 7 dec 1832 and deceased 11 Oct 1912. Two wives. 1) Mary Smith [daughter of Charles Wesley SMITH and Miriam POINDEXTER] and 2) Mary L. WITHERSPOON. John is buried at Yeowstown Cemetery, Arlma, Arkansas. Eight children by Mary. Sarah Jane, Benjamin Buchanan, William C., John Robert, Richard Edward, Martha Melissa, Nancy Alice, and Pleasant Arlie. Four did not live to be adults. James, Sibby, Miriam, and Charley.
