Anyone interested! (Those familiar with Wm. Riddles hanging by a Cleveland in the Rev. War). I found a possible "connection" between another attack on tories pursued by Cleveland. Where as he both shot and hung, as well as releasing some of the tories he had captured in this incident. (I first thought it could possible be the same incident; but wasn't sure)? But, now believe it to be a later one! In any event some of those soldiers present with Cleveland were Sparks. They gave an account of the incident from of course a view point of the opposing side of the War. I believe this to be the same (Sparks line) as is Jane Sparks who married David Elam Sparks; as well as the line of Sparks that later married into my Riddle lineage. I thought this all had a ring of "Civil War-ish" (feel to it)! Families against families (though unbeknownst to them in a future time they would be related) all this makes for - interesting story lines inter-merging together! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ If I can make what appears to be more conclusive finds I will update on findings (to any interested parties)!
