    3. Hi Cathie, I found a reference in "The Over The Mountain Men" to the fact that Cornelius Riddle was killed by Indians along the Cumberland River. He had killed some turkeys, hung them in a tree, and gone off hunting. When he returned to get the turkeys, the Indians were waiting for him and killed him. He may have been Cornelius Ruddle, as I saw a few days ago in the Family Group Record of Isaac Ruddle that his son Cornelius Ruddle died in TN about that time.
