    3. The powers that be were watching over me. Had my brother over to install and help me get acquainted with a new scanner. Thought I had an anti-virus program installed already....I'm "computer ignorant". He had me purchase Norton's 5.0. I was watching it scan and up popped 5 files with two viruses. Two it fixed automatically, the happy 99 ....I had to call a tech and he helped me get rid of it. Fortunately I had only picked it up TWO DAYS before and fortunately for everyone I had not had that much time on the be here for those two days. A friends parish priest had sent it to her. If anyone does install Norton, be sure and do the on-line upgrade. My friend kept saying her computer was clean as I kept having to delete the happy 99 that kept showing up with her other e's....along with others. After she did the up-grade it showed the infected files. "Computer folk" please excuse my vocabulary but one of my symptoms with the virus was the "illegal act thingie" and it would shut my computer down. Haven't found anything of any importance yet that it affected. All my damage is from trying to MERGE FILES!!!! What a mess!!! And I have downloaded thousands of files and thousands of E-mails. Steve >When you belong to the Digest mode you have to open each email >separately.
