Hello Riddle Researcher’s, I’m searching for information on the Descendants of Benjamin Tyre Riddle and hoping one of you out there might be a descendant. All I know at this point are three brief generation’s: (1) Benjamin Tyre Riddle (2) James Riddle b. abt 1832 d. abt 1868 (3) James Britton Riddle I’m curious to know if James (2) was married to a Jane Britton ? My gg grandmother was Mary Isabilla Riddle b. 30 Aug 1859, Soddy, Hamilton Co., TN d. 05 Aug 1930, Petros, Morgan Co., TN. Her death certificate list a James Riddle as her father and a Jane Br----n as her mother. The middle part of her mother’s last name is faded and unreadable, but the 4th and 5th letter’s both appear to be the same and extend higher then either of the unreadable letter’s on either side. I believe they are T’s, possibly making it Britton. Is there anyone who might have some information on this family?
