Thanks Danny for the info from the above mentioned book. Now this adds to the problem of whether I want to get this book or not. The one document that I do have is the marriage certificate of James and Jennett Riddle, married in Madison, Halifax Co.,NC on Dec. 22, 1865. A difference in time and place from what the book says. Wouldn't it be nice if things came together nice and easy once in awhile? Now what do I do? I was planning on ordering the book tomorrow. Gotta give it more thought I guess. Charlotte A.
