I believe your James Alexander Riddle(s) to be the son of James A. and Lucinda J. Riddles. According to the 1880 TX Soundex, James A. & Lucinda had a son, James A. born about 1860. They were living in Caldwell Co., TX at the time. The younger James had a brother Richard W. (which I have suspected to be Richard Walker Riddles). The older James' parents were Richard and Celia (McCutchen) Riddle(s). I have more on Celia's line also. I have hit a wall in finding the parents of Richard. We have a family reunion in July each year. It is mainly the descendents of Abner brother to James who is a son of Richard and Celia. We have had descendents of Harvey and Thomas to also attend. Harvery and Thomas were also children of Richard and Celia. Several of us are working on the family tree. It gives us a chance to compare notes and find out what the others have been able to find out. If you are interested in more, I will share info. Do you ever get to Oklahoma? We live at Comanche, OK. Many of the descendents of Abner Riddles settled in the Jefferson, Stephens, and Cotton Counties in OK. They had lived in Montague Co., TX, before coming to OK. Let me know what info you are interested in. I am glad to have been able to find out about you.
