Larry: I too have an Andrew Jackson RIDDLE but he was not killed in the Civil War he served under Iowa 15th, I believe, and returned to Monona Co. IA and was one of the first settlers there. The Soldiers River is named after him. I also have a copy of his Civil War diary. I haven't been able to trace any of my RIDDLE roots to NC or IN. OH, IA, MD yes. Maybe we can make some connections between our lines?
