    3. It wasn't Dorothy Marsh where I might have gotten the info on C.E. it was Kathryn Nuttall... she might be the lady from Texas but I seem to remember someone named Nettie (last name starts with a B). Anyway this is what I have copied and C. E. is listed as one of their sons. The James listed here is the fifth son of Isaac who was a son of William the Tory. Carol James G. Riddle Ancestors and Descendants, compiled by: Kathryn Nuttall June 1991 James G. Riddle, born 22 Jan 1813 in Boone Co. Kentucky. He married Lucy Smith who was born 14 Oct 1810. They married 27 Jan 1831. James G. Riddle, born 22 Jan 1813, married Lucy Smith on 27 Jan 1831. She was born 14 Oct 1810. Both were born in Kentucky and presumably married there. We know nothing of Lucy Smith's family. I have wondered if she and Nancy Smith were sisters. Nancy married Joseph Pierce Riddle. He died 25 Dec 1878 and is buried at Old Armour Cemetery, Coolidge, Texas. She died 24 Apr 1891 and is buried at Oak Island Cemetery, Cotton Gin, northwest of Teague, Texas. I have Xerox copies of pages from two Riddle family Bibles. Much of the information in this section comes from these pages. In later life when his first wife Lucy Smith refused to accompany him to California, James G. Riddle divorced her and married Mrs. McElroy. Little is known about her except that she was a relative of Jess McElroy. They are buried at Old Armour Cemetery near Coolidge, Limestone Co., TX. ----Original Message Follows---- From: [email protected] Reply-To: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [RIDDLE-L] C. E. Riddle Date: Sat, 3 Feb 2001 10:56:13 EST I am sure you will do an excellent job in sorting and saving. I wish I had known Maxine better. There was another lady in Texas who was very interested in the Riddles and sent me much material during the time my husband was ill. I will get back to you when I find her newsletters. You may have them tho.
