It is entirely possible. We only know of one child...Merrideth (as he spelled it) or Marida (as in one census report) to M. M. or Monroe. John's wife was Mary, and alledgedly at one point he may have been married to a Sarah Lundry, but we have not found proof of that, either. Merrideth was born 1837, and John was born 1798 and Mary was born 1800. Is it possible that you could see anyone with those ages with your John Riddell?
