Hi Everyone! It's been a while, thought I'd see what was happening on the list, sounds like it's been a little quiet. Josephine I've always wished to find my Hall line that went to TX., lets talk. This last Aug. I was lucky to go south to the area of my Riddles, they were/are in the Kettle District of Cumberland County, Ky., Burksville, Dale Haller Lake area. I was able to visit cemeteries, Riddle Holler, meet moms first cousins (2) of (3) left. It was truly a dream come true, I hope to go back again. My cousins took me to the Cherokee Reservation in Cherokee NC, a place I had only read about, I loved it, the area is awesome, and I was told by an elder there that he had an old friend named John Riddle. Sure would be nice to find a connection there. Since I've been there, all is so much more real to me, I understand more about how my grandparents grew up. Sure was nice meeting all the new relations. My Riddle line is Moses, William T., Joseph L., Joseph F., Rhoda N., Birdie Shoopman Hall, Mable Hall Wilson, and me. My Hall line is John G., Samuel, Martin D., Samuel C., John M., Melton (Milton) R., Mable Hall Wilson, and me. Any Hall's or Riddles that would like to write please do. Some other surnames associated with these names are, Hembree, Pettit, Lowe, Monk, Laymance, Hendrix, Roberts, Bention, Gibson, Rogers, Webb, Hughes, Morris, Wilson. Hi Cuz, If I don't have my wires crossed it looks like you and my husband are on the same Riddle lineage from William the Tory (the branch is here) - his line is down the Isaac Riddle side that came to Texas. Do not think you have the same Hall line but will email you later on that. But one note on the Hall line his mothers name was Mabel Counts Hall and she was a Riddle descendant. In the mean time look at the new site I am working on (it is still under major construction) http://www.geocities.com/ajh1943/index.html Yes the Cherokee Reservation in Cherokee NC is a awesome place to visit. We were there in fall of 1989. Then made the beautiful trip over the Smokey Mountians. Got work to do so see yawl later..............
