Carol. Guess you already know, but Riddle Oregon is north of Grants Pass. I was there several times and it is a pretty little town. I stopped there for gas on the way back her to Sac. I have been to Bend many times on the way up north to Lewiston Idaho. It also is a neat town and really nice people there. In the cemetery at Waitsburg Wa, close to where my G Grandmother is interned we found a stone for a Ulysses Riddle b. 1887 d. 1911. We/I have put out queries but have not received anything back on him. Just wondering who he is and where he fits in the Riddle line. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, March 03, 2001 10:08 AM Subject: Re: [RIDDLE-L] Computer Problems > Hi David: Thank you for the information. Pardon my barging in here. My dad tells the story of seven Riddle brothers (of 13 children) who headed west from Cumberland, KY area in early mid 1800's. Each stopped at assorted places along the way hence Riddle, ID, Riddle, OR , and maybe even Riddleton,TN and a slew of non Riddle names in MO. Any body else heard of that "theory" ?
