Hi Robert, Thought I would throw my two cents worth into the pot. I believe that Riddle Oregon is named for George W. Riddle or his kin. This particular George W. Riddle tvld to Oregon with my Sanders ancestors. I cant tell you off the top of my head where they actually started the wagon train from. But it may have been Wisconsin. But my family history book., 330yrs of the Hills in Amercia of which I'am a descendent. Mentions Geo and his tvlg with my ancestors and his writing of the book Early Days of Oregon? My sister has the book that Geo wrote abt his tvls to Riddle Oregon. He was a young lad of abt 10 to 12yrs old when he made the trip. Riddle Oregon PTA was selling the book yrs back.
