I have a place near Mt Mitchell, highest peak east of the Rockies. There is a book published called "Cabins In The Laurel" about a "Big Tom Wilson" who did a lot of exploration for Elisha Mitchell, a surveryor for which Mt Mitchell was named. Big Tom's picture is shown with a shotgun over his shoulder. My son marrried a Stacy Wilson from southern Ala. A great singer. Her parents are Larry and Charlotte from Mobile. Their email is [email protected] I think Larry is French descent. Also the mention of Cherokee brings back a lot of memories. Take a look at my website and the "Dedication" page. harlie Riddle, Dulles Airport, Va ---- Marilyn Wilson <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Everyone! 3. Hi Charlie, Wow, I finally had a minute to look at your dedication page, it really blows me away. I've been looking into my Cherokee lineage, I haven't found any proof yet, other than handed down stories from my family. Chief Gary Ridge is a friend of my friends here in Eastern Wa. Jim Baugh, and Les Mueller, they attended th 2000 meeting of the Southern Cherokees in Georgia. I would like to apply for membership someday. Small world! Thanks for mentioning your relatives that have served and died for us. I wasn't real tuned into the armed services until I became addicted to genealogy. My understanding of my fathers (Harry Earl Wilsons) military history was was pretty much limited to his few stories when he was alive, thanks to this machine I now know so much more. I saw a Hall listed on your dedication page. You mention that you were adopted, did you always know about your Indian heritage? Your William Hughes, do you know if he had a relation named Orlando Hughes? I would like to find a Wilson connection but it's like looking for a needle in a hay stack. bfn, Marilyn --- WFCR Radio <[email protected]> wrote: > > > -- > WFCR Radio~Charlie Riddle > [email protected] - email > (703) 234-3950 x7524 - voicemail/fax > www.worldforchristradio.com > > > Hi Marilyn: This is another Charles Riddle from the > mountains of western > North Carolina.
