    2. Steve, the old Riddell estate is in the village now known as Lillies Leaf, in Roxburgshire. Supposedly the manor house was bombed in World War II, but someone from England sent me a map of the area which shows a "tower" still on the old property. The Riddells lost the property around 1820 due to some financial losses (Sir Walter Scott wrote about that), but if you go to the old estate, someone might be able to point out ruins. Supposedly, the Riddells lived there from the early 1100s to around 1825. We'd all love you dearly if you could get pix of the "tower" and any ruins and post them on the net for us. We might even remember you in our wills!!! Also, the church there is supposed to have a lot of Riddell info, including around 700 years worth of Riddell graves and tombs. 3. sorry to get back to you for so long, I was dumping all the L things into another in box and just figured it out. And all this time I just thought no body was ever getting back to me. I will do my best. I'm not going until next year, and may be getting that "once in a lifetime" chance at a new career soon. But I will either take you along with me in my computer or something.
