The only thing for sure that I have is that they originated with William Riddle b:1803 VA who married Polly Mirah Parks in Burke County N.C. and they migrated to Indiana, where they both died. Although William died several years before Polly.Polly married twice after his death. First to John Ridgeway, and second to John Anderson. That is all I have on the origin of my line of Riddles. This is so odd as my gg grandfather was William Anderson Riddle b. 1824. He came from Owen County, KY. His father was John Riddle from Owen and Scott Co., KY. I have had evidence that his father was John Lewis Riddle b. 1804 in Owen Co., KY and his father was William Riddle b. 1777 in Fauquier Co., VA. This is all I have BUT that Anderson name SURE has me wondering!
