It has been more than a couple of months since I have listed my Riddle line, I will repost it again: 1. William Riddle, b. abt. 1740-1760 in Unknown and died abt. 1820 in Rockinham County, NC. Married to an Unknown. Children born to this marriage are: James R. b. abt. 1780 in Rockingham Ct. NC, (my line) Elizabeth b. 1785-1790 Patricia b. 1785-1790 John b. abt. 1790 Nancy b. 1790-1800 Mary b. 1790-1800 Rhoda b. 1790-1800 James R. moved to Rhea County, TN about 1806. He married Elizabeth Means in Rockingham County, NC. Elizabeth was b. abt. 1770-80 in Guilford, Rockingham County, NC. Two known children of this marriage: Terry Riddle b. 1800s in NC or Knoxville, TN (my line) Elizabeth Riddle b. abt. 1805. James R. Riddle died November 25, 1839 in Benton County, AL and Elizabeth Means Riddle died bet. 1836-1839 in Benton/Calhoun County, AL. Terry Riddle m. Mary "Polly" Patterson in 1819, Rhea County, TN. Mary was b. abt. 1803 in Knox County, TN, dau. of Robert Patterson and Rhoda A. Witt. Mary Polly died early 1840s and Terry remarried Elizabeth Hanna who was a niece of Mary Polly Patterson. Terry and Elizabeth married 1842. There were ten (10) children born to Terry and Mary Patterson Riddle and no children born to Terry and Elizabeth Hanna Riddle. In another post, I will list the children born to Terry and Mary Patterson Riddle. Terry Riddle owned land in Talladega and Benton/Calhoun County Alabama.
