Another piece to this puzzle is that there was a John Riddle, born 1780-1790 who briefly appeared in the Monroe Co, IN area around that time, however I've never been able to find out where he went. Any clues here? These are the only 2 references I've been able to find regarding this John Riddle. History of Morgan, Monroe & Brown Counties, IN page 533 Benton Twp - "In 1837, the following entries were made: John W Riddle on Section 6;..." however there was no John Riddle listed in the poll-tax payers of 1841 for Benton twp. 1830 CENSUS Monroe County, Indiana, page 147 RIDDLE, John males 2 age 0-5; 1 age 5-10; 1 age 10-15; 2 age 15-20; 1 age 40-50 females 1 age 0-5; 1 age 15-20; 1 age 40-50 No John Riddle appears in the 1840 Monroe Co Census
