It was the Allen's who were descended from Adoniram Allen and Lucinda Riddle (Wilkes County N.C.) that came to Clay County Kentucky. Thier son Job and Adoniram's father who was also an Adoniram Allen settled near the Oneida area. I know that Boone, Owen, and Bath Counties are in Northern Kentucky. Clay County is in Southeastern Kentucky. Job's grandfather Adoniram came to Clay County before 1810. Job did not come here until between 1830 and 1840. To my knowledge the only Riddle in Clay County in 1840 was a Unas Riddle. He is listed as a free man of color.
