    2. Hello Charles, I have had the same question regarding William (T.) Riddle, as to where he was born? There is a book by an author Fred Plum written some years ago. I do not have this book ... haven't been able to get a copy of it, if any one knows how I could get a copy of this book let me know? I don't know whether this book gives any evidence to verify his coming from Scotland but that is what that book says! And, I think it is the source of this information I believe. Or, so it is my understanding. Any one have any INFO on this subject of Wm. (T.) Riddle's place of birth???? I am a descendant of Isaac Riddle, and he married Anna Grizzel as their tombstone even shows ... as well the Grizzel Descendant website shows he married her with many, many, many, many Grizzel and of course from their marriage Riddle descendants. Wish I could get that record without trying to print it all. Not to mention (their marriage info.) also comes from many records family descendants have keep ... researchers have recorded/found. But I think their tombstone suffices to answer that question. Not, heard of there being a second wife? As to the issue of Wm. RIDDLE postion in the Rev. War as a Loyalist/Tory. It is my view -- but I don't think about which side was right(?) in 'a country divided against it's self' like in the Civil War and Rev. War. I think it only becomes a B/W issue to some only after the fact -- as far as history is concerned (and) there was a winning side then they are more often labeled the good guys. (As to the historical issue of Cowboys & Indians, I will not make a comment at this point). I did however liked the Mel Gibson movie about the Rev. War ... and I do have other ancestors on my Stephenson family tree of ancestors, and some distant Sparks lines that fought on the winning side of the Rev. War too. Just my "two cents" on a 'Land or peoples on that land, divided against it's self.' Although, we all have our bias I am sure ... and everyone involved in wars of history had reasons for what they did ... There are good guys, and bad guys on all sides. Thanks for writting Charles. 3. Russ - I've corresponded with you in the past. Re: Fred Plum - I have no knowledge of a book. I have three pages of handwritten information on the "Riddles from Scotland to Virginia Colony America" which was supposedly written by Fred Plum to my Great Aunt Lizzie Riddle Mann. According to Mr. Plum, although there is nothing to back up his assertion, Thomas Riddle was born in Scotland about 1740 and died in Georgia (Hanged by England). If anyone is interested in Mr. Plum's writings I will be glad to forward them.
