Hello Carolyn, Good to hear from you. Thanks for your e-mail. I love hearing about all the different Riddle families. My mother was a Riddle, going back to John W. Riddle, Sr.. I just started researching my Riddle ancestors about three months ago. I have learned so much and met so many great people. It has been very enlightening. I really knew very little about my Mother's family. Her father, Ranzie Riddle, died when she was a young girl and all her grandparents were gone long before I came on the seen. And for some reason her brothers and sisters have never really shared much about there ancestors. I think they were afraid they would find murderers and crazy people in the family. So they decided to leave well enough alone. But then I came along and started asking lots of questions. I've really tried to find out about our Native American roots, but haven't had much luck. My 3rd great grandmother was Nellie Cook Riddle, married to John W. Riddle, Jr. and she was said to be full blooded Cherokee. But I don't know anything else.
