Yes Teresa, The John Brown I mentioned can be found in Cumberland County Kentucky Yesterday and Today compiled by Ruth Wooten. It is now out of print though. the article is on page 205 and was submitted by Betsy OVerby Perkins. About Lt. John Brown born 7 dec 1832 and deceased 11 Oct 1912. Two wives. 1) Mary Smith [daughter of Charles Wesley SMITH and Miriam POINDEXTER] and 2) Mary L. WITHERSPOON. John is buried at Yeowstown Cemetery, Arlma, Arkansas. Eight children by Mary. Sarah Jane, Benjamin Buchanan, William C., John Robert, Richard Edward, Martha Melissa, Nancy Alice, and Pleasant Arlie. Four did not live to be adults. James, Sibby, Miriam, and Charley. Since I sent the info about the Travel Maps program, I thought I should go purchase it and see how it works. It is, overall a good program for the 10.00 I spent. It is also available at K-Mart. If you want to know where counties and streets, etc. are it is very good. But like anything that is 'published' use the info with a grain of salt... It has a cemetery marked in the place where our local park/swimming pool is, the park is called Butler Memorial Park! We also have a cemetery in this area that is Butler County Memorial Park. It is marked properly, but the other is in error.... Good Luck! Pat

The name of it is: CHEROKEE PROUD A Guide for Tracing and Honoring Your Cherokee Ancestors GWY I have not read it yet but I paid fifteen dollars for it abd it was published by CHUANANNEE BOOKS and is in it's third printing in 1998 In thback it says Pass It On CHUANEE BOOKS 4040 Boothe Road Somerville, Tennessee 38068 and says the copies are $22.95 plus $3.00 shipping and handling. Rodney, I have been trying to sort out all of the James RIDDLE's in Cumberland and Clinton Counties. In doing so, I ran across the family of Henry R. RIDDLE and Nancy RUSH who have a son James listed in a file you sent me. I noticed from the vital statistics of Cumberland Co., KY that Henry and Nancy were married in Cumberland Co., in 1853. Several of their childrens births were also in Cumberland Co., KY. However, I don't find them in the Cumberland Co., KY census in 1860 or 1870. Were they not enumerated or were they living in a neighboring county? Do you know? Robin L. Poindexter
