Hi Norene, There are Todds and Riddles in Marshall Co., AL. (My son is named S. Todd Lane) I don't know of a Riddle-Todd connection but my maternal ggrandmother Romine/Swords sister married a Todd. I haven't done any research on the Todd's and just getting started on the Romines. Haley is not familiar at all to me. I searched the Romine GenForum and found a cousin related to me from the Romine/Riddle line and later found he was more closely related thru the Riddles/Romine line. I have tried for awhile to find the Riddle line of Johnny and Elmer Ray Riddle. I have tlked with Elmer's 2 daughter's and a couple of nephews, one who coached our local minor league team back in the 1960's. All I have so far is their father was: 1-John Ludy Riddle b abt 1881 in Wachalla, Sc married Susan Rebecca Crosby 2- James Alvis Riddle b. 1900 2- Edwin Crosby Riddle b. 1902 2- John Ludy Riddle b. 1905 2- Lillian Blanche Riddle b. 1912 2- Elmer Ray Riddle b. 1914 2- Sara Frances Riddle b. 1919 1- Luther Riddle twin of John Ludy ......was a sheriff in Laurens, SC ** Elmer played in the 1940 World Series and was an was a member of the AllStar team of 1948** Maybe some new info will "pop up" since we have some new Riddle's on the list now!
