    3. Thanks Gaylon! Perhaps I'll order that one too. The lady at the Tribune couldn't give me much info on that book no "indexs of names" in the back of the book unfortunately, their could be other Riddle related (those living in the area that would come to marry into...) in the book as well maybe. Quit possibly a few tidbits/ details there on the local history of that area of Texas I don't know. Regards, Russ

    2. Gaylon Cameron
    3. Russ, I have a copy of the book "Reflections - - -". The only Riddle related picture I can find is on page 15 with the caption "Family home in the Liberty Hill community A. S. Archie and Mary Jane Riddle Cameron and family, circa 1901.". This is my great grandparents and my connection to the Riddle family. The picture shows them and about 30 others on the porch of their old "dog run" house. My great uncle Willard Cameron, their son, never married and lived in the house until 1974 when he died sitting in his rocking chair in front of the fire place. He once told me how he helped his father build the house. He never had electricity, gas, phone, running water or any modern conveniences put in it. He was like a substitute grandfather to me since my own grandfather, his brother, died when I was one. 1. [RIDDLE-L] Descendants of Stephen and Elizabeth Douthit Riddle
    2. Thomas L. Harman
    3. This is a small detail; but I like to keep the files straight. On a previous file submitted on the descendants of Stephen And Elizabeth Douthit Riddle, it listed John and Mary Keehn Riddle's children. Under William riddle, it listed 3 children: Emerson b. abt. 1813; Thomas b. abt. 1814; and Calvin b. abt. 1815. Taken from "Rowan Co., NC Will Abstracts Vol. 2 1805-1850 Abstracts of Books G-K 1850" Pg. 74 H: 365. JOHN RIDDLE. Oct. 12, 1820. prb. Nov. 1826. Wife Mary. Sons: Stephen, William. Daughters: Anny McBride, Penelope Riddle, Polly Riddle. The 2 sons of my son William: Emerson and Thomas Calvin Riddle. My grandchildren who are children of Jabeth (Jabez)Grimes: John Grimes, Hannah Grimes, Polly Grimes, Stephen Grimes. sister: Mary Markland. Son-in-law: Jabeth (Jabez) Grimes. Exrs: son-in-law Leonard McBride, daughter Polly Riddle. Wit: John Miller, Thomas Cooper. The above parentheses with Jabez are mine. I have not seen the actual will; but if this abstract is correct in the number of children for William Riddle, then it's worthwhile to make this distinction. Tom

    2. Subscribers, This is not my direct line so I may be asking a question that is common knowledge to most, but here goes. In my database I have Martha COMMACK, spouse of Johnson RIDDLE, b. c. 1816 in NC. I have her Father listed as ________COMMACK, and her mother as Beverly ________. I was search the Family Tree Maker Marriage CD#229 and ran across a Beverley COMMOCK who married a Lucy MADDEN on 27 Feb 1812 in Gallatin Co., KY. Could this be Martha's parents? Robin L. Poindexter
