Anne, I can't help you with Caroline's parents, (sorry) but can you tell me who she married after coming to America? I have two Caroline Riddles about that time period and haven't been able to find the parents of either. Thanks much. Wanda T. This site is my Cornelius ROBERTS family that I have talked about in relation to the RIDDLE family. I suspect the name Cornelius RIDDLE (who had property in Wilson Co, Tn which is just south of Cumberland Co KY) may have derived from the RIDDLE connection to this Cornelius ROBERTS family. Found this tonight. It is really worth a visit and look around. Cathie Descendants of Cornelius Roberts, born in about 1746 in what is now Henry County, Virginia: http://www.flash.net/~bharris5/Roberts.html

Hi - Pam, just saw your post on the Isaac-Anna Riddle info and I have quite a collection of Riddle's, but I do not have anything on Joseph Pierce Riddle, except that the married #1 Nancy Smith in 1829, who was born ca. 1809 and died ca. 1853. That Joseph married #2 Margaret Pauline Vice in 1860. She was born ca. 1820 and died ca. 1875. Would like to know what your spelling for Anna is....do you have correct name, is it Grizzle, or Griswold, or have you been able to find that? I've seen it several ways...I would appreciate any info that you have on them....My direct line is one that I have not seen on here, except when I posted it...It is Thomas Riddle married Hulda Osborn ca. 1824 in Ky. Thomas born ca. 1794 in Ky. and Hulda born ca. 1804 in Ky. Have all 10 of their children clear down to my family...They supposedly came through Cumberland Pass, they were in Daviess Co. (Owensboro, Ky.) area and on into Warrick Co. IN. (Booneville) area then to Gibson Co., and Pike Co., Indiana... Do you have any info on this family? Please email me at Loretta1125@msn.com. Thanks Lots Loretta Riddle in Evansville, IN.... S. 1867-1951 (Louvina is Louvina Hoge and P. H. S. is Philip Henry Sheridan Riddle) (Between these Riddle and Sleeth graves there is a large stone missing - perhaps another Riddle?) SLEETH - Nora O. 1869-1939 and H. Thomas 1867-1941 (These are my great grandparents. Nora Olive Riddle was Philip Henry Sheridan Riddle's sister. They are the children of James Edgar Riddle and Rebecca Wetzel) In other parts of the cemetery were these headstones: RIDDLE - Golda L. 1891-1945 and Lewis M. 1890-1968 RHODES - Blanche Riddle 1903-1991 and Elihue 1906-1987 J. Hi Folks, Is there anyone else on this list who is researching the name Riddle from Cornwall and Devon, England? I have a Caroline RIDDLE who came to the US from Redruth, Cornwall in 1871/2. I know about her life here in the US. I am interested in her parents, William and Grace (Mitchell) RIDDLE who were married in either Cornwall or Devon about 1830. William RIDDLE came from Redruth, Cornwall. Most of what I see on this list is about RIDDLEs in the US.
