    2. Doris, I may be just hoping but my Uncle married a lady by the name of Moore. I do not know her first name other than she had two children by a Moore she was married to before she married a George Riddle. Her children were Annie and Nathan I believe as they called him Nate. I never met them unless I was too young to remember. I do have a baby picture of either Annie or Nate. I do have a teenage picture of Annie with my uncle when she was quite young. She was a beautiful girl. Does that sound famaliar to you? wrakj

    3. Hello All, I just found some new information about my Riddle line. I have a death certificate for John Henry Riddle born April 1850 in Hunt County, Texas; died July 15, 1932 in Deaf Smith County and buried at Quitaque in Briscoe County. His father is listed as Alick or Alich ....(could possibly be Alex or Alexander) born Pa. John Henry's marriage record to Milissa Ann Stone in 1876 in Comanche County, Texas has John G. Riddle and IGI says John Grenade Riddle His son was John Henry G. so I'm thinking his was probably the same. The son was called "Nade" most of his life. Ring any bells with anyone? 3. Hi Charlie, We seem to have different James G's and Sina's. My gr. gr. grandfather (son of John W. Riddle, Jr.) was James Garrett Riddle (b.1828) in Yancey Co. and his wife was Sina Thomas (b.1834). She was the daughter of Jobe Thomas and Nancy Deyton Thomas. Aaron Thomas, Sr. was her grandfather. James Garrett and Sina Thomas Riddle's son William Harvey is my gr. grandfather and his wife Mary Jane "Dixie" was also a Thomas. Their son Ranzie was my grandfather and my mother's father. So my James G. is the grandson of John W. Riddle, Sr. and your gr. grandfather, Baccus was John Sr.'s gr. grandson. Your James G. was John, Sr.'s gr. gr. grandson. My records show that your James G. born 1890 was married to Christine "Serena" Hughes born 1885. Their children were: Robert E. Lee, Benjamin F., Bulo, Maude, Martha and Viola (your mother I believe).Other children of Baccus and Georgana Hughes Riddle were: Nathan, Handy Charles, Jesse C., Sina, and Nancy Jane who married Bulo Gortney. Are my record correct? Boy this gets confusing doesn't it? This should teach us all a lesson. To come up with our own names, instead of using so many family names. Carla

    3. -- WFCR Radio [email protected] - email (703) 234-3950 x7524 - voicemail/fax Hi Carla: Which side of the family did you come from after marriage. Sina married Tom Thomas in Gray, Ky. James G was my grandfather who raised me. He had other bothers--Jess, Handy, William N. and sisters=Ida, Bell, Sina, Nancy Jane. Handy and Jess each had a twin brother that died at their birth. I believe there were 14 children from that family of James G. Their father was Bachus Riddle, mother was Anna Hughes. Bachus had a brother named Lewis who was the story teller of the county. Granddaddy met him one day just high-tailing on a horse up the Deyton Valley. He hollered "Uncle Lewis tell me a big lie!". Uncle Lewis replied, "I hanven't got time, Old granny Garland has diied and I'm going up to Burnsville to get the burial clothes!" Granddaddy turned around and as a custom went and got neighbors and dug a grave beside her husband. They all went down to granny Garland's that night to pay their respect. Granny Garland was sitting on the front porch. Riddles will be Riddles. Charlie Riddle/Dulles Airport ---- "caribym" <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Carolyn, > Thank you for your e-mail. 2. Thank you for that little piece of information. This is helping and any other info. you can find would be greatly appreciated. Terry and family did move briefly to AL, I believe Talledaga County, and then back again to TN. Some TX relatives are telling me that their group did move to TX. I just learned that Terry had a sister Jane and that nobody knows anything about her, and that my gggrandmother Polly Patterson Riddle died and Terry remarried the daughter of John Woodford Hanna and Delphia Patterson, but apparently there were no children born of this marriage that we know of. The remarriage date was abt. 1840. Dream Back the Buffalo, Sing Back the Swans Carolyn Condray-Merritt gggranddaughter of Terry Riddle [email protected]

Most of the children didn't stay there long, just long enough to give me fits trying to figure out who they were! Believe one of the sons was Terry, though will have to check my files.
