Hi Listers, A message just came through to the list that was forwarded and showed up as an attachment. Some of you contacted me expressing concern over the safety of this. Please do not send attachments or forward messages to the list. It only takes a minute to copy and paste into a new message anything that you would like to send ( example- someone sends you an email of Aunt Sadie Riddle's obituary and you want to share this with the list ) don't forward it, copy & paste it. There are too many viruses going around to trust attachments and forwarded messages. I know this from personal experience. I've been hit with two of them and they came from people I trust. They were forwarded messages. If anyone doesn't understand how to copy & paste, contact me off the list and I'll help you with it. Remember COPY & PASTE Thanks for you help and cooperation with this, Susan Listowner: Blackmon, Boultinghouse, Cauthen & Riddle Whispers from the Past..... http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~susanb/index.html Blackmon's Genealogy Publications http://www.susansgenealogybooks.homestead.com/ Susan's Genealogy site & more... http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Lake/8724/ LadyBug Pottery www.ladybugpottery.com
Hi Charlie Riddle, you said keep in touch so that's what I'm doing. I've read some of your emails I believe and don't think we are from the same branch of Riddle's but you never know, could be related from way way back. My mother's name was Katie Gertrude Riddle b. 1897 in Virginia not too far from Petersburg. I have been researching her family for over eight years now and am still stuck on her grandfather, James Robert Riddle, b. 1840 in Virginia. Hope one of these days to find out his parents names. Good luck in your search. Charlotte Armstrong

Hello all Riddle researchers, If you have already contacted me to verify your address and which mode you want to recieve the messages in, please do not respond to this again, please delete. First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Susan Blackmon and my husband's maternal grandmother was a Riddle. About a month ago, ownership of the Riddle mailing list was transferred to me. Over the past few weeks, I've been watching the posting habits and for any problems. I'm very pleased to see that this is a very active list and that the members get along so well. I have noticed that I receive more than a dozen error messages each day though that all pertain to undeliverable mail. This is generally caused because a subscriber has changed their email address and has not unsubscribed the old one. What I'm going to ask each of you to do is this. Please email me at [email protected] with the email address that should be subscribed and whether you want to be on the MAIL (you receive individual messages as they are posted) or DIGEST (you receive several messages in one email about 2X a day) mode. The 31st of March, I will unsubscribe any addresses that have not been verified. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE THROUGH THE LIST. "Oh--I took me wifee back to Ireeland!". Church member asked, "What are you going to do for your 25th anniverary?" "Oh" the preacher replied, "I'm going back to get my wifee!"
