Does anyone have W. I. Richardson (Caucasian) born in South Carolina on Nov. 10, 1832 and died Sept. 2, 1915 (Benton County, Arkansas) on their family tree? He was a merchant in Round Prairie and possibly served in the Civil War. His first name is either William or Washington and the middle might be Irving or Irvin. The following is his obituary from Benton County, Arkansas. I know where he is buried and with whom but do not know his siblings or parents. "RICHARDSON, W.I. - was born in South Carolina, Nov. 10, 1832, died at the home of his son, Thomas, Sept 2, 1915, of general debility and old age. He was married to Maggie Brockinaw July 25, 1869, who preceded him to the beyond some years ago. Four children remain of this union, Robert of California, Della Wilson of Tahlequah, Okla., Thomas of near Bloomfield, and William of Gentry. Capt. Richardson, as he was called, was a highly respected citizen, a life-long Mason, and his memory is cherished by a large circle of friends. The funeral was held at the Bloomfield Church Sept 3 conducted by Elder O. L. Sumner of the Christian Church. Burial in the Bloomfield Cemetery. Gentry Journal-Advance 9/10/1915" He first appears on the Cane Hill, Boonesboro, Arkansas censuses in 1870 and 1880. On the 1890 he has relocated to Round Prairie, Benton County, Arkansas. I would like to see if he fits into anyone's family tree. Particularly, in South Carolina. His children are Della, Mary, William, Thomas and Robert. Thank you, Maureen ensti9@aol.com
