    3. Harold, In pursuit of a Betsey Richardson, unknown parentage, from this time period--late 18th early 19th century--and this locale (she probably married in VT). She married Joseph Jones--they wound up in Chautauqua County, NY by the 1820s; Betsey is buried there--don't know what happened to Joseph (he was son of Rev. War "hero" John Jones of Wardsboro, VT (and Chautuaqua, NY). John Jones' wife (Joseph's mother) was Abigal Cheney. Stike any notes with your Richardsons??? A couple of things to think about in searches on these people in the 1820s the spelling would have been Wardsborough that would not have changed until the very early 1900s Mo notes on Richardsons from this part of VT invariably trace to Canada. A little father east towards the Connecticut River you will find some who followed the river up from CT.
