This Obit is different from the one in the Muskogee Daily Phoenix The McIntosh County Democrat January 27, 2005 Charley Marvin Goines 1919-2005 Charley Marvin Goines, 85, of Checotah, died Thursday January 20, 2005 in Muskogee. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday January 25, 2005, at the Checotah Church of Christ, officiated by Brother Everett Dunn. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah. Mr. Goines was born February 18, 1919 in Hackett, Arkansas to Jim and Molly (Richardson) Goines. He was untied in marriage to Rosa Williams on Dec. 4, 1939 at Checotah, she preceded him in death in 1995. He was a member of the Checotah Church of Christ, a carpenter, farmer, rancher and a champion horseshoe thrower. He is survived by one daughter, Marvelene Borovetz , two granddaughters Kandee Brovetz both of Muskogee, Karee Brovetz Pyeatt of Okla. City,. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Casketbearers for the services were: Jack Ronnie and Tommie Anson, J.E. Williams, Pat Knoy, Mike Frisbie, Tim and Bobby Frame. Honorary Casketbearers were; Dewey Wright, Ted Rowell,Frank Borovetz, Bill Sharp, Donald Dowdy, Junior Minnick, Keith Jones, Wesley (Beaver) Richards.
