Someone else had the same problem, and told me that they had to manually enter the link, or add the second > symbol. In any case, when I post the link to Rootsweb, they add the latter half of the URL, between the < > symbols. In doing so, it causes the error message you received. If you manually enter just the first part, it should work. Or try a search for First Families, and see if you find it that way. It's really there! And I'm curious about their claims that some type of Richardson genealogy is fraudulent.
